JUNE 1, 2026 UPDATE
TIER 1 DRAW
It's the moment half of you have been waiting for! Find out what colors you'll be wearing for the 2026 World Cup, Good Luck!
TIER 2 TEAMS - TOP 4 PLAYERS
TIER 1 TEAMS - BOTTOM 4 PLAYERS
Commissioner Announcement:
Gentlemen,
In an effort to bring both international prestige and long, drawn out drama to this league, the 2026 draft order will be determined by the greatest sporting event on Earth: the FIFA World Cup.
Here’s how it will work:
Last season’s standings have been split into two groups:
Top 4:
Chad
Chris
Adam
Andy
Bottom 4:
Rob
Matt
DJ
Jason
The World Cup’s top contenders have also been split into two tiers:
Tier 1 (Favorites):
France
Spain
England
Brazil
Tier 2:
Argentina
Portugal
Germany
Netherlands
The Bottom 4 finishers will be randomly assigned one of the Tier 1 powerhouses. The Top 4 finishers will be randomly assigned one of the Tier 2 teams.
From there, your fate is in the hands (and feet) of your assigned national team.
This year we're adding a twist: This contest does NOT determine your draft pick directly. Instead, it determines the ORDER in which you get to CHOOSE your draft slot.
Win the contest? You get first choice. Want the 1.01? Take it. Want to play mind games and pick 8th? That’s your call. Finish last? You get whatever’s left.
Teams will be ranked based on how far they advance in the World Cup, with tiebreakers including goal differential, goals scored, and group stage placement.
This format rewards last place, adds strategy, and ensures that for at least one summer, we all care deeply about goal differential in a Netherlands vs Portugal match.
Full details and complete structure of the 2026 World Cup Draft Decider are below.
Good luck, and may your randomly assigned country not embarrass you on the world stage.

Fantasy Football League Constitution
2026 Draft Order Determination – World Cup Format
Section 1: League Groupings (Based on Prior Season Results)
League members will be divided into two groups based on final standings from the previous season:
Top 4 Finishers:
Chad
Chris
Adam
Andy
Bottom 4 Finishers:
5. Rob
6. Matt
7. DJ
8. Jason
Section 2: World Cup Team Allocation
The eight (8) national teams with the best odds to win the 2026 World Cup will be selected and divided into two tiers:
Tier 1 (Top 4 Favorites):
Spain
England
France
Brazil
Tier 2 (Next 4 Favorites)
Argentina
Portugal
Germany
Netherlands
Section 3: Random Assignment
Each of the Bottom 4 Finishers (Rob, Matt, DJ, Jason) will be randomly assigned one (1) national team from Tier 1.
Each of the Top 4 Finishers (Chad, Chris, Adam, Andy) will be randomly assigned one (1) national team from Tier 2.
All assignments will be conducted randomly and transparently.
Section 4: Draft Selection Order (Key Rule Change)
Final standings from the World Cup contest will determine the order in which managers select their draft position, not the draft slot itself.
Example:
1st place → selects any draft position (1–8)
2nd place → selects from remaining positions
Process continues until all draft slots are filled
Managers may choose any available draft position regardless of finish.
Section 5: National Team Ranking System
National teams will be ranked based on their performance in the 2026 World Cup using the following criteria:
5.1 Primary Ranking Factor: Tournament Progression
Teams will be ranked by the furthest stage reached:
World Cup Champion
Runner-up
Third Place
Fourth Place
Quarterfinalists
Round of 16 Eliminations
Group Stage Eliminations
5.2 Tiebreakers (Same Stage Elimination)
If two or more teams are eliminated in the same stage, Goal Differential and Goals Scored will be calculated using matches from the entire tournament, including both group stage and knockout rounds, to break the tie:
Goal Differential (GD) (entire tournament)
Total Goals Scored (GF) (entire tournament)
5.3 Group Stage-Specific Tiebreaker
For teams eliminated in the group stage only, the following additional tiebreaker will be used, if teams remain tied after GD and GF:
Group Placement (3rd place ranks higher than 4th place)
5.4 Final Tiebreakers (If Necessary)
If teams remain tied after all applicable criteria:
Head-to-head result (if applicable)
Fair Play (fewer yellow/red cards)
Random draw / coin flip (commissioner-administered)
Section 7: Final Authority
The commissioner reserves the right to interpret and enforce these rules in the event of unforeseen circumstances, with the goal of maintaining fairness and competitive integrity.
Section 8: Spirit of the Rule
This format is designed to:
Reward lower-ranked teams with stronger World Cup teams
Add strategic flexibility through draft slot selection
Introduce an engaging, real-world competitive element to draft order determination
