Week 4 Recap

Week 4 did not disappoint. The Bills trampled on the Dolphins offensive mojo, handing them their first defeat. The 49ers and Eagles are now the only unbeaten teams. The Jets surprisingly kept it close against the Chiefs, KC receivers only had 7 catches, for 65 yards! The Patriots will be searching high and low for yet another young, white, baby-faced quarterback with a pretentious name (Bo Nix?). They’re not the only team with QB issues; the Steelers will be without Kenny Pickett, but that may not be a terrible thing. Joe Burrow has been awful coming back from his injury, the Bengals have 3 offensive touchdowns in 4 weeks, and Dan Jones is reportedly considering early retirement due to a severe case of embarrassment.
Time for some deep league analysis.
The league average score is 123.10 points.
Matt is performing well below, averaging 107 points, but at least he’s consistent, scoring 111 two weeks in a row, a high of 117, and a low of 90. Is he tanking for next season?
Andy is a bit ahead, averaging 134.72, but has had some crazy variance, scoring 103 on two occasions, but a high of 181 in week 3.
Rob is on par, with 121.27 average. But his week 3 monster score of 176 hides his crimes of 97, 107, and 104 in weeks 1, 2 and 4.
Adam, Chris, Jason and Josh are all bathing in mediocrity with average scores between 116 – 118. Like a bunch of drunk parents idly floating down the lazy river of fantasy football management, while their bastard kids run amok unsupervised around the hotel.
We’re tired of hearing it, but DJ is running the joint with an average score of 153. What’s more impressive is his consistency, a low of 142 and a high of 162. Somebody beat him already!
Bonus Review
DJ continues his dominance, grabbing the weekly high score bonus with 158.85 points.
As predicted, Josh is eliminated from Survivor with 208.60 points total, over weeks 3 and 4. DJ was the only one to breach the 300-point mark over the two weeks.
Rob is still in the lead of the Biggest Blowout bonus. Someone will have to do better than his +64.85 victory to steal it from him. I’m looking at week 9, when DJ plays Matt.
Adam strengthened his position in the Win’s a Win bonus, stealing a late, low scoring victory over Rob. It was a classic Monday Night Showdown. Adam needed Kenneth Walker and DK Metcalf to score at least 21 points, and Rob needed the Giants kicker to show up, but he only had 1 kick all night. Game script hurt him, just like the Seahawks Defense hurt Dan Jones (10 SACKS!?!?!).

Good luck to all in Week 5! Andy and DJ face off, which should be a thrilling matchup.
