📝 2025 Rondy Royal Rumble Draft Recap

The draft is done, the picks are locked in, and the season is officially underway.

It was great to have most of the league together in person this year—huge thanks to DJ for locking down BTB Bar, which turned out to be a perfect setting for the chaos. The only one missing was Chad, who was drafting from the moon, I think…

🧃 Early Rounds: Mostly Chalk, Some Spice

The first two rounds went largely as expected— Matt took Christian McCaffrey at pick #7. High risk, high reward. If CMC stays healthy, it could be a steal. If not… well, we've seen this movie before.

DJ made a bold play of his own, grabbing rookie RB Ashton Jeanty, putting a lot of faith in potential over proven production.

🧠 QB Run Kicks Off Early

We figured someone would reach for a quarterback, and sure enough, Chad started the wave by selecting Josh Allen (fanboy!) in the early 3rd. That move kicked off a mini-run, and by the end of Round 4, the top five QBs were off the board.

🧼 Mid-Rounds: Suspensions and Strategy

Adam took a calculated risk in the 10th, drafting two-time felon Rashee Rice despite a six-game suspension. If Rice returns strong, it could pay off down the stretch.

Later in Round 11, Chad became the first manager to grab a defense—opting for the Steelers—with Matt following shortly after by selecting the Lions. Early for defenses? Maybe. But hey, everyone has their strategy.

🔚 Closing it Out

Adam finished the draft with a classic deep sleeper pick in Sam Darnold in Round 15. Low risk, possibly no reward, but you never know how a season will unfold.

🙌 Final Thoughts

Thanks to everyone who showed up, drafted live, and helped make it another great night. The 2025 season is officially underway—good luck to all
